Its Official: The Dream Team joins the cast of The Dark Knight Rises.
No, it’s not the case of someone trying to put an idea into your head and make you think that it is your own. It’s the truth.Today, it was officially announced that Marion Cotillard and Joseph-Gordon Levitt are joining the cast of „The Dark Knight Rises“, the final installment in the trilogy of Batman films by Christopher Nolan.
Cotillard will play Miranda Tate, a member of Wayne Enterprises’ board of directors who is eager to see that Bruce continues the philanthropy of his father. John Blake a police officer on special duties who is working for Commissioner Gordon, will be the new role for Levitt.
The stars are known to Nolan as he directed both in last years blockbuster, „Inception“. They are joining a cast headlined by Christian Bale as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle ( Catwoman ), and with Tom Hardy ( who incidently was also in „Inception“ and stars in the forthcoming MMA film, „Warrior“ ) as Bane.
So, the question is, will the trilogy end on a dream note or descend into a nightmare? The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to hit the cinemas in July 2012.
